Job Summary:
As a Sr. Quality Technician, you will be responsible for measuring and evaluating all customer specifications. You will validate product designs through rigorous testing, conduct capability studies, and maintain strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards. This is achieved through developing and executing inspection routines on automated test equipment such as a CMM and a MicroVu or through best method determined by you. The Quality Technician is actively involved in a variety of activities that are essential to providing our customers with accurate data.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop programs for validating parts and for production inspection
· Perform First Article Inspections and document results
· Perform MSAs, Gage R&Rs and Capability Studies and document results
· Provide engineers with data to perform statistical analysis of product.
· Perform calibration on all automated equipment
· Develop inspection plans for each production product
· Perform customer specific quality testing, if required
· Provide technical support for Quality Assurance Department.
· Provide technical feedback for new drawing at Drawing Review Meetings
· Assist in developing quality fixturing
· Give guidance/train others on operating and troubleshooting automated equipment
· Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

Qualifications & Requirements:
· Basic knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding.
· Experience and knowledge of cosmetic requirements of plastic parts.
· Mechanical inspection skills to include use of hand inspection equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Height stands, etc.).
· Strong ability to read and understand complex blueprints.
· Experience and knowledge in advance GD&T.
· Coordinate Measuring Machine programming experience. Using software’s like PC-DMIS or Calypso – 3 to 7 years.
· MicroVu Vision System programming experience. (Optional)
· Knowledge and understanding of SPC and SQC tools and techniques.
· Knowledge of computer databases, spreadsheets, SPC/SQC software and CAD/CAM.
· Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
· Working knowledge of computer databases, spreadsheets and SPC software.
· Microsoft Suite knowledge (Excel, Word, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
· Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small tools, machine components, and molds.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
· Capacity to wear personal protective equipment (PPE); safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
· Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching to access equipment and perform tasks.
· Color perception for inspecting parts and identifying any defects or abnormalities.
· Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing machinery.
· Ability to receive, comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following:
· Knowledge of Hazardous and Safety requirements.
· Knowledge Lock Out/Tag Out
