IP-basedAssistant Engineer

We are looking for an Assistant Engineer for our television stations in Casper, WY.

Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Interface with users, technicians, engineers, vendors, and other Technical Maintenance personnel to install, update, and debug automated systems.
• Provide daily support for our servers, workstations, network, and other equipment.
• Implement necessary updates and upgrades to existing equipment and software.
• Installation and maintenance of video and audio equipment.
• Maintenance of microwave radio links and satellite earth station equipment.
• Maintenance of high-power UHF transmitters/VHF transmitters.
• Occasional facility maintenance tasks.
• Support of both office and broadcast-specific IT infrastructure.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must understand different video codec, Closed Captioning, and IP-based video streaming.
• Must have excellent time management, oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to quickly troubleshoot problems.
• Proven Experience installing, managing, and administering the following:

o Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (7/10/11): 1 year (Preferred)

o Network router/switches management.

o Mac/Apple Operating Systems

Required Skills:

• Must be able to stand, sit, reach, climb, and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Should be familiar with network routing and IP addressing.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance.
