Founded at Harvard and backed by over $50M in venture funding, we're on a mission to change the outdated view that fertility is a “women's issue” by making male fertility care accessible and affordable. Our platform spans at-home sperm testing and freezing, DNA fragmentation analysis, telehealth, personalized sperm improvement products, and more — all powered by our CLIA- and CLEP-certified andrology lab in Hoboken, NJ.

About the Role

We're looking for a Laboratory Technologist to own the day-to-day operations of our lab. Reporting directly to the General Lab Supervisor, you'll work closely with the lab team to hit production goals, including the timeliness and accuracy of every semen analysis report we deliver.

This role sits at the heart of our patient experience. Every day, you'll ensure that all case samples are processed and accounted for, and you'll develop a deep understanding of the entire lab process, including basic troubleshooting when errors occur. When our clients get fast, accurate results, that's you.

What You'll Do

• Perform manual and computer-assisted semen analysis
• Process and cryopreserve sperm samples
• Conduct specialized assays including DNA fragmentation
• Receive and accession samples
• Maintain accurate documentation in the LIMS and adhere to chain-of-custody and specimen identity protocols
• Perform daily instrument QC, calibration checks, and preventive maintenance; document
• deviations and occurrencesFollow all SOPs and support QMS activities including proficiency testing, method comparisons, and validation studies
• Ensure tests are completed according to approved procedures and departmental expectations
• Follow GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and report any non-conformity with SOPs to the Supervisor
• Assist the Supervisor with assigned projects, SOP implementation, and staff competency testing
• Train new hires on current lab processes and procedures
• Escalate, classify, and prioritize results issues to the Supervisor
• Uphold Legacy's best-in-class client experience standards

What We're Looking For

• BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in Biological Sciences or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of Andrology experience
• Extremely strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proven track record of spotting issues and escalating them appropriately
• A demonstrated history of getting things done on time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
