Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children follow routines and rules
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development
• Provide individualized attention and support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and exploration
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early childhood education
• Help monitor children’s progress and document observations to inform ongoing assessment and planning

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning standards
• Experience with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education methods
• Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while maintaining a warm and supportive environment
• Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus

Pay: $25,400.00 per year
