The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Intern will support the manufacturing team in improving production processes, assisting with process documentation, supporting quality initiatives, and helping implement lean manufacturing practices in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This internship provides hands-on experience with aerospace manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and continuous improvement projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing engineers with process development and improvements
• Support creation and revision of work instructions and process documentation
• Help analyze production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements
• Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
• Assist with tooling, fixturing, and process layout improvements
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Help collect and analyze production and quality data
• Assist with time studies and process flow analysis
• Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and document control updates
• Work with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams on various projects
• Follow all safety, quality, and aerospace regulatory requirements
• Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Exposure to aerospace standards such as AS9100
• Understanding of machining, fabrication, or assembly processes
• Experience with data analysis or process improvement projects
• Have the ability to understand manufacturing methods and read engineering blueprints.
