Ohio Peer Recovery Support Agency Experience Required

Peer Life LLC is seeking a Billing & Credentialing Specialist with direct experience billing for an Ohio Medicaid-funded peer recovery support agency.

This is not a general medical billing position. The ideal candidate must understand the specific requirements of Ohio Medicaid peer recovery support services, including billing workflows, credentialing processes, taxonomy, provider enrollment, Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and claim resolution.

Required Experience (Must Have)

• Direct billing experience for an Ohio peer recovery support agency
• Experience billing Ohio Medicaid peer support services
• Experience working with Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)
• Hands-on experience supporting Ohio Medicaid credentialing and payer enrollment
• Understanding of taxonomy codes related to Ohio peer recovery support services
• Knowledge of NPI, billing provider, rendering provider, and provider enrollment requirements
• Experience identifying and correcting Ohio Medicaid claim denials, rejections, and payment issues
• Understanding of Ohio Medicaid provider setup requirements that impact reimbursement

Responsibilities

• Manage Ohio Medicaid billing workflow
• Submit, monitor, and track Ohio Medicaid claims
• Resolve rejected, denied, and unpaid claims
• Monitor reimbursement activity
• Support Ohio Medicaid credentialing and payer enrollment updates
• Verify provider enrollment information, taxonomy, and payer setup accuracy
• Identify billing issues impacting reimbursement
• Maintain billing reports and communicate revenue cycle concerns to leadership

• General medical billing experience only
• Hospital billing experience only
• Behavioral health billing experience without Ohio peer recovery support agency experience
• Billing experience outside of Ohio Medicaid
• No Medicaid peer support billing experience

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
