SUMMARY:
The Treasury Management Solutions Specialist is responsible for supporting the Banking Team in the sale of deposit and treasury management products and services for the bank’s current and prospective clients. This position is responsible for the installations, onboarding, training, and upgrade of Treasury Management products or services. The Treasury Management Solutions Specialist completes account maintenance, including changes to Treasury Management products, services, limits, and/or account set-ups. This position performs Annual Reviews and Account Analysis to determine appropriate products, services and limits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Relationship & Sales Support - 45%

Participates in the treasury services sales process including joint sales planning and business development with Banking Team members, while consistently assessing potential opportunities in the local community and surrounding areas.

Takes a warm referral or introduction from a Banking Team member to independently initiate a sales opportunity with either a new or existing client.
- Works with Banking Team members to develop and maintain successful business relationships while seeking opportunities to cross sell additional products and services.
- Attends weekly Banker Meetings to remain informed of trends, initiatives, communications, and training opportunities.
- Proactively reaches out to existing and new clients to offer deposit solutions and treasury management products or services while maintaining and deepening relationships.
- Refers loan transactions to Mortgage, Retail and/or Commercial Bankers.

Acts as the secondary relationship manager for lending clients with complex depository and treasury services requirements.

Serves as the main point of contact or liaison for significant relationships with non-borrowing high value business and personal customers.
- Provides exceptional client service to internal and external clients, vendors, and personnel to gain and retain quality relationships.

Coordinates the renewal of CDARS by proactively contacting the client prior to maturity.
Client Solutions - 35%

Responsible for prospect qualification including needs analysis, detailed account analysis, data mining, proposal presentation, and implementation.

Conducts annual reviews of current Treasury Management clients to ensure appropriate products, limits, and users.
- Performs analysis of existing client accounts and behavior to develop sales generation opportunities.
- Takes introduction from a Banking Team member to independently address client issues or questions.
- Answers client questions and completes client requests received through email or phone calls.
- Uses product knowledge to resolve challenging client issues for products including but not limited to ICS (Insured Cash Sweep), CDARS (Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service), Deposit Accounts, Credit Cards, Merchant Services, and other Treasury Management Services to identify optimal solutions.
- Develops a strong understanding of customer business needs, objectives, motivations, and abilities.
- Solves problems and proactively suggests solutions to create value for the client and the bank.
- Uses discretion, authority, and negotiation skills to overcome client obstacles as it relates to the waiving of fees or service charges on a temporary basis to earn business.
Treasury Services Operations – 20%

Conducts client installations, onboarding, training, and upgrades of Treasury Management products or services.

Executes agreements and implementation of Treasury Management products or services.
- Responsible for account maintenance or changes to Treasury Management products, services, limits, and/or account set-ups.

Serves on project teams to evaluate treasury services products, services, and workflows, as necessary.

Conducts internal training sessions for the appropriate bank team members on the features and benefits of treasury services offerings.

Maintains a working knowledge of all Treasury services products, systems, and processes and an awareness of industry trends. Offers alternative solutions to meet client needs that are outside of the Bank’s products and services.

Partners and proactively communicates with the Marketing Department to ensure appropriate materials and website content are developed and maintained.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will include travel to local client locations, as necessary. Travel expenses to be approved and reimbursed by the Bank.

Assists departments throughout the bank with special projects and functions.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Continually enhances knowledge of regulatory and compliance issues through completion of all required online training, and attendance at in-house and external training presentations.
- Performs all job functions in accordance with Federal and State regulations and within banking policies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) or more years of experience in Treasury services, bank operations or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, preferred.
- High School diploma, or the equivalent, required.
- Treasury Management Certification (CTP) preferred or a willingness to further education and training.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

The ability to explain in depth and sell bank products and services including but not limited to: ICS, CDARS, Deposit Accounts, Credit Cards, Merchant Services, and other Treasury Management Services, in a professional manner.
- Maintains a professional appearance and practices proper business etiquette to build creditability and trust with the Bank’s top clients.
- Strong familiarity with Bank operations, products, services, finance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of cash and funds management, bank data processing, and integration into bank operations

Familiarity with the cost and pricing of bank products with appropriate margins

- Experience using various computer programs and systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Fiserv Premier applications.
