Duties

• Cultivate new business opportunities through proactive lead generation and inside sales strategies within the freight and logistics sector
• Manage existing customer accounts by providing tailored transportation management solutions that meet their supply chain needs
• Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to ensure profitable and efficient transportation arrangements
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and AS400 platforms to track shipments, update records, and facilitate seamless dispatching
• Coordinate transportation planning activities including carrier selection, dispatching, and compliance with FDA regulations where applicable
• Develop comprehensive logistics sales proposals that highlight value-added services such as 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), or other specialized freight solutions
• Maintain detailed data entry records of shipments, pricing agreements, and customer interactions to support accurate reporting and performance analysis

Experience

• Proven experience in B2B sales within the supply chain management or transportation management industry
• Strong understanding of logistics operations including freight forwarding, carrier sales, dispatching, and contracts management
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI protocols, and AS400 systems for effective data handling
• Knowledge of supply chain processes such as transportation planning, freight pricing, negotiation strategies, and logistics sales techniques
• Experience working with 3PL providers or NVOCCs is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer relationship management and account management excellence
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment requiring data entry accuracy, negotiation finesse, and proactive lead generation

Pay: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
