• Organizes and participates in rehearsals and performances. Teach necessary skills from the basic fundamentals to the techniques of performance.

• Plans and coordinates annual auditions.

• Plans and coordinates mainland travel. Provides timely communication to Marching Band Director, such as monthly activity calendars and attendance records.

• Maintains conditioning program throughout the spring through basketball and/or other appearances.

• Provides leadership and oversight for the academic progress and eligibility status of dancers.

• Promotes and maintains an environment where the physical, mental, social and academic well-being of all participants are a priority.

• Promotes and fosters a positive team environment, appropriate behavior, and sportsmanship by team members. Responsible for the conduct of team members both on and off the field/court.

• Plans fundraising activities and keep appropriate records.

• Responsible for performing the duties of a Campus Security Authority as defined by University policy and federal law with regards to the Clery Act.
• Maintains collaborative working relationships with staff, administrators and coaches in the department, other college offices, and members of the media, donors, and other individuals interested in the Rainbow Dance Program and Athletics Department.
• Maintains confidentiality to include but not limited to information, files and records that the incumbent may obtain or possess, in accordance with federal and state laws and University of Hawaii policies.
• Knows, recognizes, and complies with the laws, policies, rules, and regulations governing the University of Hawai‘i and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and of the affiliated conferences as now constituted or as may be amended in the future. Immediately advises the Director of Athletics or designee if you have reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, students, or others, have occurred or will occur
