We are looking for a Data Analyst to support the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) by bridging leadership and stakeholders, analyzing, documenting, and validating business needs, workflows, and data requirements. This position directly reports to the Director of Data Products within the Office of Data Analytics (ODA) and plays a critical role in developing high-quality data products to facilitate strategic decision-making by agency leaders. This position will be Full-Time and Hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.
What You’ll Do
Create data products for RHTP strategic activities, including grant operations, initiative outcomes tracking, fiscal analyses, and support for RHTP Evaluation vendor coordination
Analyze, document, and validate operational needs, reporting requirements, and data governance requirements related to RHTP outcomes
Facilitate stakeholder discussions, working sessions, and data management related to RHTP data sources with internal and external stakeholders
Review solution designs and deliverables to ensure alignment with documented requirements and business objectives
Coordinate with the Data Operations team in ODA to ensure data architecture, infrastructure, and governance capabilities align with the enterprise data warehouse
Prepare documentation, briefings, and reports for leadership, governance bodies, and project teams
Develop timelines, risk registers, and impact summaries for RHTP data activities for ODA leadership
Collaborate with internal teams (IT, legal, finance, RHTP initiative leads) and external partners (vendors, providers, regional coalitions, stakeholders)
Support other related Rural Health Transformation activities as requested
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in public health, health informatics, information systems, or a related field (MS degree preferred)
3+ years of applicable experience in data analysis, informatics, or epidemiology
Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements for complex, multi-stakeholder systems or programs
Experience working cross-collaboratively with internal divisions or external partners
Familiarity with public health program implementation and evaluation methodologies
Familiarity with conducting scientific research literature reviews
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with analytical tools and visualization tools such as Tableau
Proficiency with common productivity and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft O365, project management platforms, collaboration tools)
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
