Graduate Electrical Engineer – Data Center Commissioning Support

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Electrical Engineer to support commissioning and engineering activities for a hyperscale data center project in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent electrical engineering graduate—including candidates with a master’s degree—to gain hands-on experience with critical electrical infrastructure, commissioning processes, technical documentation, and data center operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical commissioning activities for critical data center equipment and systems.
- Assist with electrical system inspections, testing, and functional verification.
- Perform and document electrical loop checks.
- Verify electrical panels, switchboards, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and related equipment.
- Review single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, panel schedules, control drawings, and equipment layouts.
- Compare field installations against approved construction drawings and specifications.
- Review and verify redline and as-built drawings for accuracy.
- Identify drawing discrepancies and coordinate corrections with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Support equipment walkdowns, punch-list development, and issue tracking.
- Assist with commissioning checklists, test reports, and turnover documentation.
- Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and related technical documents.
- Organize and maintain drawings, reports, equipment records, test documentation, and project files.
- Support document control and ensure that current document revisions are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, engineers, and project management teams.
- Follow all project safety requirements and data center procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Recent graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF documentation tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or work experience related to electrical systems, construction, commissioning, controls, or data centers.
- Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, ATS/STS equipment, and electrical panels.
- Knowledge of commissioning processes, loop checks, equipment testing, and issue tracking.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, ETAP, SKM, or similar engineering software.
- Basic knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC, NFPA 70E, electrical safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or plans to pursue it.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $69,500.00 per year
