Job Summary

Small busy practice seeking associate for full time position. Primarily juvenile dependency and delinquency. Courtroom or legal research experience preferred but not required since we are looking for the best fit.

The ideal candidate is able to work independently, take initiative, manage a busy caseload, and communicate effectively while also contributing to a supportive team atmosphere. Daily work expectations include:

• Developing and applying legal solutions to clients’ issues.
• Clearly and empathetically communicating legal options to clients.
• Researching case law, drafting correspondence and drafting and filing pleadings.
• Working with staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines and other key dates.
• Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects.
• Ability to work both independently & within a team environment.
• Take ownership of assignments and accept responsibility of work product.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
