Position Overview

As a Project Architect/Project Manager, you will lead retail and commercial projects from initial client engagement through project completion. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, oversee project delivery, and ensure the highest standards of design quality and technical excellence.

In addition to project leadership responsibilities, you will contribute to firm operations, business development initiatives, strategic planning, and the continued refinement of internal processes. Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Develop innovative and practical solutions to complex design and technical challenges.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Direct the preparation and coordination of schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration activities.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing resources, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Mentor and develop architectural staff through leadership, training, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with firm principals to advance project design, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives.
• Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, client pursuits, and marketing initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, project delivery processes, and overall firm performance.

Qualifications

• Professional Architecture License preferred; highly qualified candidates with significant project management experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in architecture, with a demonstrated focus on retail and commercial projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and leading project teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation, building systems, permitting, and construction administration.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to balance competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, sound judgment, and a commitment to design excellence.
