Job Description
The Trainers are Art of the Dog’s primary task force and are charged with caring for and training the dogs at our academy. This means that it is the Trainers who are responsible for generating and maintaining Art of the Dog’s superior product. Trainers must understand and respect a challenging dichotomy: To love dogs while still being able and willing to hold them accountable in the training. Every
Trainer needs to have a beginners attitude, as strong work ethic, and must work well with a team.

PREVIOUS TRAINING EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
● General canine care. This means feeding, rotating, administering medications, crate cleaning, etc.
● Training the dogs in our care. Every Trainer will be assigned anywhere from 1-3 dogs depending on experience. Trainers will be responsible for running assigned dogs through the Art of the Dog curriculum and assisting in ensuring that all dogs who leave the academy are well trained and ready to do so.
● Facility Upkeep. Trainers are tasked with assisting in keeping the academy clean. This means, brooming and mopping the floors, cleaning the bathrooms and bathing area, cleaning the runs, etc.
● Client Updates. Once assigned a dog, the Trainer will be tasked with providing the client with daily updates via text along with photos/videos. These updates are designed to keep the client up to date with their dog's progress.
● Reporting assigned dogs progress in daily tactical meetings while working with Lead Trainers to ensure that dogs remain on pace in their training.
● Supporting other trainers on their days off by helping train their dogs when they are not present.
Wages
Starting at $17.29/hr with room for advancement.
