Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Freight Broker/Carrier Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients, managing transportation contracts, and coordinating freight movements. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and sales will be essential to delivering exceptional service and expanding our logistics network.

Responsibilities

• Develop new carrier relationships through proactive lead generation and inside sales efforts, ensuring a robust network of reliable transportation partners
• Manage existing carrier accounts by providing exceptional customer relationship management and account management support
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms to optimize freight pricing while maintaining profitability
• Coordinate freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and other platforms for seamless dispatching and data entry
• Oversee transportation planning to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight while adhering to Federal regulations and other compliance standards
• Utilize CRM software to track customer interactions, monitor sales pipelines, and generate reports for performance analysis
• Collaborate with dispatching teams to ensure efficient logistics operations and effective carrier sales strategies

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics planning tools such as AS400 or similar platforms
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships and close deals effectively
• Ability to handle data entry accurately and efficiently using CRM software, EDI systems, and other transportation management tools
• Knowledge of transportation regulations including Federal compliance standards where applicable
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to lead generation and account management

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
