Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Content Program Manager to lead the planning, development, and delivery of educational content products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education publishing, curriculum development, instructional design, or EdTech content operations. This role requires managing cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality content is delivered on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end technical content development projects, from planning through publication and release.
- Collaborate with editors, curriculum specialists, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and production teams.
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinate content review, editing, quality assurance, and publishing workflows.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, and status meetings.
- Ensure content aligns with educational standards, curriculum frameworks, and learning objectives.
- Facilitate communication among internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Drive process improvements to enhance content production efficiency and quality.
- Manage multiple content programs simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Course Development & Content Production:
· End-to-end course development lifecycle; manuscript/content build
· Oversight through production; instructional design & SME partnership; content workflows, standards, QA, creating enterprise development standards
· Checkpoints; digital asset integration; content refresh cycles and scalable development processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Publishing, Communications, English, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in educational publishing, curriculum development, EdTech, or content program management, digital learning environments.
- Proven experience managing complex content development projects.
- Strong understanding of content lifecycle management and publishing workflows.
- Experience working with editorial teams, curriculum developers, and content creators.
- Excellent project planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet.
- Experience working within publishing, digital publishing, eLearning, EdTech, or content technology environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
- Experience supporting Program Increment (PI) Planning and execution.
- Custom CMS builds and deployments with consistent feature development and release cycles
- Experience with Enterprise LMS platforms such as SuccessFactors, SumTotal, and Moodle, LMS, CMS, Articulate, SharePoint, InDesign
- Experience with print and digital publishing environments. Agile/Waterfall for content production and publishing, Content quality, curriculum alignment, on-time publication
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in K-12, Higher Education, Assessment, or Learning Products.
- PMP, CAPM, Agile, or related project management certifications.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
