Sr Scientist for Electromagnetic and Metamaterial Applications - Sensormetrix is currently seeking to fill several positions in R&D of electromagnetic (EM) metamaterials and antenna systems. SensorMetrix is a leading company in metamaterials R&D. We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Scientist and Project Engineer to lead the development and commercialization of current and future metamaterial technologies. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years experience with metamaterials, a strong background in electromagnetic theory, expertise in EM numerical solvers, specifically HFSS and GA optimizations, experience with designing and optimizing frequency selective surfaces and photonic band-gap materials, antenna design, and have a proven experimental background in RF/microwave measurements. A strong publication history in EM, a track record of obtaining and managing government contracts, and an entrepreneurial scientific curiosity are highly desirable.

o Rapidly acquire, understand, and implement new metamaterial concepts
o Stay abreast of the quickly moving field of metamaterials
o Develop new technology areas, write proposals, and secure funding
o Demonstrate an ability to lead team members and collaborate with the management team, outside program managers, and University and industrial partners
Experience/Education Required
- PhD or MS in Physics or Electrical Engineering

RF / microwave / mm-wave. IR background is considered a plus.
