Electro-mechanical Assembler II

Location: Huntsville, AL

Assignment Details

• Duration: 3–6 months
• Schedule: 4x10 workweek (Monday–Thursday)
• Shift: Day shift
• U.S. Citizenship Required
• No Security Clearance Required
• Pre-employment Drug Test and Background Check Required

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Previous experience supporting government contracts.
• Experience with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and FOD (Foreign Object Damage) control practices.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Prior experience as an Assembler I or in a similar assembly role.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Assemble components such as modules, circuit boards, panels, frames, drawers, cables, and related hardware.
• Work from work instructions, diagrams, drawings, and specifications to complete assembly tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform continuity checks and verify work throughout the assembly process.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet established specifications and workmanship standards.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies or prototype units as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work area while adhering to manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
