POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: IV Therapy Technician (Part-Time or Full-Time)

STATUS: Exempt

We are a full functional medicine clinic dedicated to empowering our clients to thrive through functional wellness! The IV Therapy Technician is responsible for initiating IV access and administering intravenous vitamins, minerals, and other nutrient-based therapies to support client health and wellness. This role plays a key part in delivering a safe, high‑quality clinical experience by monitoring clients throughout their infusion, reviewing medical histories, and making appropriate clinical decisions within scope and protocol.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Start and administer IV’s and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process.● Administer IM/SQ Injections as indicated.● Monitor the client’s response to treatment.● Manage and prevent infections.● Assess the client’s physical health, including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status,etc.● Identify contraindications to intravenous therapy for the client.● Take client’s vitals as needed.● Documents interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services,assessment, andresponses/reactions to treatment.● All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must hold a Colorado EMT, Paramedic, or Registered Nurse (RN) license; License must be current and up to date

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records, Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice Functions

1 year minimum of Vascular Access or Infusion Experience needed

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly.

Able to hear average conversations.

The employee is regularly required to type continuously throughout the day.

The employee is regularly required to use their hands to type and maneuver a mouse.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts).

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will work eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts Monday-Friday and occasional weekends required. General clinic environment with climate control. Adequate lighting. __________________________________________________________________________________________

Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.

Strong numeric capabilities; Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical documents. Ability to communicate clearly.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
