Position Overview

We are looking for a licensed, detail-oriented, and collaborative Structural Engineer to assist with evaluating, designing, and certifying structural plans for mainly residential design-build projects with some commercial occasionally. You’ll work closely with our interior designers, contractors, and consultants to ensure safety, feasibility, and compliance with building codes across Nevada &/or California.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and design concepts to assess structural feasibility
• Provide stamped structural drawings and calculations as required
• Collaborate with the Talie Jane Interiors and Construction teams on site visits, consultations, and plan development
• Recommend framing modifications, reinforcements, or load-bearing adjustments
• Ensure designs comply with all applicable local, state, and federal codes
• Assist in permitting processes and respond to plan check comments from building departments
• Offer expertise on foundation design, seismic requirements, and structural safety

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Nevada and/or California (required) with all certifications for stamping.
• Minimum 3 years of residential structural engineering experience
• Strong understanding of wood-framed construction, renovations, and luxury home design
• Experience working with interior design or construction firms a strong plus
• Proficient in structural analysis and CAD software
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Reliable, responsive, and collaborative team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
