We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead/Project Manager to support large-scale digital modernization projects at a Nuclear Generating Station. The Technical Lead serves as the primary technical authority throughout the entire project lifecycle—from project scoping and specification development through engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
This individual works closely with Responsible Engineers, Architect/Engineering (A/E) firms, project stakeholders, and equipment vendors to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables while maintaining compliance with nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities /Project Technical Leadership
- Serve as the dedicated Technical Lead throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Maintain technical ownership while ensuring project objectives, schedules, and quality expectations are achieved.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Evaluate technical issues and present practical engineering recommendations.
Support Responsible Engineers by managing the Architect Engineer (A/E) firm through engineering change development.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in Architect Engineer technical meetings.
- Perform Owner Acceptance Reviews (OAR) of Engineering Changes.
- Lead engineering design review meetings including:
- Kick-Off Reviews
- Conceptual Design Reviews
- Detailed Design Reviews
- Final Design Reviews
- Ensure engineering changes comply with:
- Standard Design Process (SDP) IP-ENG-001
- Digital Engineering Guide (DEG) NISP-EN-04
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Controls, Systems, Nuclear, or related discipline).
- Significant experience leading digital modification or digital modernization projects in a commercial nuclear power environment.
- Experience managing engineering deliverables from Architect/Engineering firms and equipment vendors.
- Strong knowledge of engineering change processes and nuclear design requirements.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and design reviews.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
