Summary:
Verigon has an exciting opportunity as we grow the company for an experienced, self-motivated, results oriented Process Engineering Technician to provide first class technical support and development solutions for SMT printed circuit assembly manufacturing activities.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Required high school diploma- College credit or Associates Degree preferred.
· Five or more years’ experience in electronic assembly manufacturing.
· Ability to program and support SMT assembly equipment is required.
· Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
· Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and CAD, AEGIS CircuitCam and/or FactoryLogix required.
· Ability to design or troubleshoot process tooling is a plus.
· Math skills and strong problems solving abilities.
· Strong interpersonal and communication via written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization in English.
· US Citizenship required.
Responsibilities:
· Provide first-class, immediate support for all SMT automation processes.
§ Screen print, SPI paste inspection, Pick & Place, SMT reflow
· Programming and program modification for:
§ Screen print, SPI paste inspection, Pick & Place, SMT reflow profiles.
· Assists process engineering by providing SMT manufacturing, manual x-ray, and/or mechanical assembly support as required.
· Documents, monitors and assists manufacturing activities and issue resolution.
· Actively contributes to continuous process improvement efforts to improve manufacturing processes, along with reducing scrap and cycle times.
· Facilitates training and troubleshooting to resolve production concerns.
· Run tests and experiments, gathers and sorts data, writes reports and summaries.
· Provide recommendations for updates of work instructions and procedures.
· Creates and maintains tooling/equipment, reflow and baking logs/profiles.
· Willingness to work on all assigned duties as necessary to support the overall team and company goals.
· Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager and/or Process Engineers.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting where hazardous materials may be present. Security investigations may be conducted to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or work areas.
