Full-Stack Product Engineer - Healthcare AI Startup
Vytivo is software for private practice, functional medicine, and longevity clinics.
Doctors are already using the product. It includes an EHR, provider tools, patient app, lab ordering, care plans, reports, billing, documents, and AI features for clinical work.
The foundation is built. The next job is making it better: fewer clicks for core workflows, cleaner charts, faster admin work, more useful AI, and fewer rough edges for doctors and patients. We are going through a beta phase with a group of physicians over the next few months, and our main goal will be turning their feedback into product improvements.
We are looking for one strong engineer who can work across the entire product and codebase.
This is not a narrow frontend role. It is not a management role. This is a senior level IC product ownership role. You will write code, fix product problems, build new features, and help decide what is worth doing next.
A normal week might include improving a doctor’s charting flow, fixing a patient upload path, making AI scribe output easier to review, cleaning up a care-plan workflow, Enhancing our Graph based AI context system, or tracking down why something is slow or unreliable and improving the speed or reliability.
What you will work on:
- Provider tools: charting, notes, visits, scheduling, tasks, billing, documents, labs, and practice operations
- Patient tools: onboarding, uploads, guided mode, reports, care plans, appointments, and portal flows
- AI features: scribe, insights, reports, care-plan suggestions, biomarker guidance, and clinical summaries
- AI quality: better review flows, source tracking, safer output, fallbacks, and tests that catch bad answers
- Product quality: finding parts of the app that are confusing, slow, brittle, or almost right, then fixing them
What we are looking for:
- Strong TypeScript, React, Next.js, API, and database experience
- You use AI coding tools like codex and claude code to speed up the development cycle, but you do not blindly trust them
- You have shipped real software that people have used
- You can work across frontend, backend, data models, auth, and product logic
- You can take vague feedback and turn it into working software
- You test your own work before calling it done
- You communicate clearly when something is blocked, risky, or ambigious
- You are detail oriented, and have a high bar for what "completed" looks like
- You have design skills and product taste
Healthcare software experience is helpful, but not required. What matters more is judgment. This product deals with sensitive data and clinical context, so sloppy non production ready work is not acceptable.
This is a small team. There are not layers of managers, long approval chains, or perfectly written specs. You need to be comfortable figuring things out, making reasonable decisions, showing your work, and improving the product quickly. You will work directly with the founder who created the core product.
