Job Title: Engineering Technical Specialist

Employment Type: W2 Contract – 12 Months with Possibility for Extensions
Pay Rate: $36.00–$41.00/hour (determined by experience, paid weekly)
Work Model: Fully Onsite
Shift Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Role Overview

BEPC is actively seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to support our customer in Miamisburg, OH. This hands-on role supports Carbon Monoxide (CO) distillation operations by providing technical expertise in equipment maintenance, process optimization, troubleshooting, and project execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, with the ability to work independently, solve complex technical problems, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the safe and efficient operation of Carbon Monoxide distillation processes.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on distillation equipment, reactors, condensers, and separation systems.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, equipment installation, and system repairs.
• Manage calibration, preventive maintenance, and asset management activities.
• Support small engineering projects related to process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to optimize production processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, cGMP, and company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and work reports.
• Assist with quality initiatives and safety training programs.
• Train and mentor maintenance personnel and junior team members as needed.
• Independently manage assigned tasks and contribute to project objectives with minimal supervision.

Qualifications Required

• Skilled trades certification, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting industrial or chemical manufacturing operations.
• Strong hands-on technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and work reports.
• Experience supporting preventive maintenance and equipment reliability programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a chemical plant or process manufacturing environment.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Mechanical and chemical process experience.
• Experience supporting distillation or industrial processing equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO and cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.
