Sales Engineer

Position Summary

Pulva Corporation is seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering. This role combines mechanical design, applications engineering, and customer support to develop innovative material processing solutions. Working closely with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and our customers, you will help design equipment, solve technical challenges, and support projects from concept through installation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both technical problem-solving and working directly with customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and improve mechanical equipment, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and engineering documentation.
• Evaluate customer applications and recommend equipment solutions that meet performance requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, equipment layouts, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support Sales with technical presentations, customer meetings, and product demonstrations.
• Work with Manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and cost-effective to build.
• Assist with equipment testing, troubleshooting, installation, and startup support.
• Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and participate in continuous product improvement.
• Coordinate projects with customers and internal teams from quotation through production.
• Travel occasionally (approximately 10–15%) to customer sites, trade shows, or equipment testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related industries.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks; experience with AutoCAD and ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
• Customer-focused with a desire to solve technical challenges.
