The Role We’re looking for an experienced Controls Programmer to join our growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position based out of our Orange County facility with regular visits to job sites throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

You’ll design, program, commission, and troubleshoot sophisticated building automation systems that optimize some of Southern California’s most complex HVAC plants. If you love turning code and graphics into real-world energy savings and perfect comfort, this is your opportunity.

Controls Programmer Job Duties:

What You’ll Do

• Program, configure, and commission Tridium Niagara N4 (and legacy AX) systems
• Develop custom logic and sequences for optimized HVAC control
• Integrate and troubleshoot BACnet, LON, Modbus, and other industry protocols
• Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and engineers from concept through startup
• Perform system analysis and fine-tune for maximum energy efficiency
• Document projects thoroughly and train end-users when needed

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Strong background in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on Tridium Niagara N4 certification and real-world programming experience
• Proven track record programming complex, optimized commercial/industrial HVAC control systems
• Solid understanding of HVAC equipment, sequences of operation, and building automation protocols
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Self-starter who is resourceful and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record (local travel required)

Highly Desired:

• Distech Controls (EC-Net, GFX graphical programming) experience
• Experience with other platforms (ALC, JCI, Siemens, etc.)
• Background in energy analysis, retro-commissioning, or fault detection diagnostics (FDD)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43.00 - $77.00 per hour
