The Qualitative Research Analyst utilizes qualitative and quantitative research methods and analytical skills to support senior staff on a variety of research projects for government and non-profit clients. This entry-level position involves hands-on data work, analysis, and research support, offering opportunities to grow qualitative (NVivo) skills.

Responsibilities:

• Follow research plans thoroughly, accurately, and thoughtfully to ensure high-quality research outcomes; understand that high-stakes decisions rely on our findings.
• Perform data entry, coding, cleaning, and data management tasks to support project workflows.
• Assist with primary data collection and conduct analyses of secondary data sources.
• Assist in designing qualitative research methodologies including focus groups, in-depth interviews (IDIs), online discussions, and usability sessions
• Review transcripts, recordings, and notes to identify themes, patterns, and key insights
• Draft research summaries, reports, and presentation materials
• Conduct literature and document reviews; synthesize findings and present insights to team members.
• Build and maintain datasets
• Use qualitative analysis tools such as NVIVO
• Assist preparing tables, figures, and visualizations
• Assist with the preparation peer-reviewed journal articles and presentations for national and international conferences
• Document the procedures and methods used, carefully follow the research protocol and take precautionary steps to protect integrity of the data
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, market research or related field of study (Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Health, etc.)
• Training or experience in qualitative analysis methods, ability to utilize qualitative analysis tools such as NVIVO
• Experience with focus groups, interviews, or other qualitative methods preferred
• Proficient in MS office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of research terminology and understanding of the research process
• Excellent written and oral communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management skills, work ethic and customer service orientation
• English/Spanish bilingual a definite plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance
• U.S. Citizen
