Biological Scientists study humans, plants, animals, and the environments in which they live. They may conduct their studies - human medical research, plant research, animal research, environmental system research - at the cellular level or the ecosystem level or anywhere in between.
Students interested in this career would complete the Associate in Science (AS) degree and transfer to a baccalaureate science degree at a four-year college or university. The AS curriculum courses focus on courses such as biology, chemistry, engineering, geology, mathematics, or physics.
