Private Executive Chef, Wellington, FL

Full-Time | Year Round

A lovely family is seeking a world-class Private Executive Chef for their Wellington, FL residence. This is a full-time, year-round role for a thoughtful, proactive chef who can create exceptional food for a health-conscious family. The role will be based in Palm Beach for approximately six months while a renovation is completed on the Wellington residence.

This role is ideal for a chef with a Michelin star or similarly high-end culinary background who also understands that the family's style is polished but not overly formal; they enjoy beautiful food, excellent ingredients, and gracious service.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and deeply committed to their craft. They are calm under pressure, naturally proactive, and comfortable supporting a family that values healthy living and a low-key lifestyle.

The Chef will plan and execute three meals each day, along with some snacks. Breakfast may be prepared in advance, while lunch and dinner are served onsite. Dinner menus should include a couple of proteins, vegetables, and sides served family-style, with plenty of variety and creativity.

The family travels frequently by plane, so experience preparing beautifully packed, healthy travel meals and snacks is essential. You should be comfortable with some travel and ensure the same quality of food and presentation whether at home or in transit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the family's culinary program at the Wellington residence.
• Create and execute fresh, healthy, balanced, family-style menus.
• Prepare three meals daily plus snacks, with breakfast often prepped ahead and lunch/dinner served onsite.
• Provide polished but approachable service, including setting the table and serving.
• Source the best produce, meat, fish, and specialty ingredients; complete all grocery shopping and provisioning.
• Prepare travel meals and snacks with careful attention to freshness, packaging, and presentation.
• Cook thoughtfully from scratch. You should enjoy making your own stock, sauces, nut milk, etc.
• Bring creativity and range to the menu, including a strong comfort level with Asian cuisine and clean, flavorful everyday cooking.
• Manage kitchen organization and inventory.
• Manage payments, receipts, and credit card reconciliation with the Family Office.
• Coordinate smoothly with the principals and household staff to anticipate needs and ensure a seamless experience.

Qualifications

• Significant professional Chef experience, ideally including private household, luxury hospitality, yacht, or aviation settings.
• Michelin-star or similarly refined culinary training/background strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated strength in healthy, clean cooking and the ability to prepare food that suits an active, wellness-focused family.
• Confident preparing family-friendly meals without sacrificing quality, nutrition, or creativity.
• Experience with family-style service, table setting, and discreet in-home meal service.
• Comfort with some travel when requested. Your base is Wellington, FL but, at times, you may be asked to travel to another property.
• Exceptionally organized, proactive, and meticulous with provisioning, receipts, and kitchen systems.
• Warm, discreet, service-oriented personality with excellent judgment and long-term intent.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual compensation range of $175,000 to $225,000, based on experience

Schedule

• Generally, 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off.
• Current schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off; this may evolve based on the family's needs.
• Typical meal schedule is lunch at 12:00 pm and dinner at 5:30 or 6:30 pm.
• There may be periods of significant downtime when the family is traveling. This is a great time to reset the kitchen, test new menus, prepare some items ahead, and take PTO.
• Travel support is required on occasion.
