We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Safety Assistant to support our transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of DOT regulations, air freight procedures, TSA requirements, and customs compliance. This role is responsible for helping maintain regulatory compliance, supporting safety programs, and ensuring adherence to federal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining compliance with DOT, TSA, and customs regulations.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety records, audits, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate employee safety training and compliance tracking.
• Assist with hazardous materials documentation and transportation requirements.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action follow-up.
• Stay current on changes to transportation and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or safety compliance.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements.
• Experience with air freight operations and TSA security regulations is prefered.
• Understanding of U.S. Customs procedures and import/export compliance.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
