About Us

NutriLab is a growing dietary supplement manufacturer specializing in premium liquid supplements, botanical extracts, tinctures, and glycerin-based formulations. We are looking for an experienced Food Technologist / Formulation Specialist to lead formulation development and support our manufacturing operations.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on position for someone with real-world experience developing and manufacturing liquid dietary supplements or functional beverages.

The ideal candidate has experience taking a formula from concept through commercial production while ensuring quality, stability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new liquid dietary supplement formulations.
• Improve and optimize existing formulations.
• Develop and optimize botanical extraction processes.
• Scale laboratory formulations to commercial manufacturing.
• Establish manufacturing procedures and batch records.
• Troubleshoot formulation and production challenges.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.
• Evaluate raw materials and recommend new ingredients.
• Work closely with Quality and Production teams.
• Support stability testing and shelf-life evaluations.
• Lead product development from concept through commercial production.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and manufacturing liquid dietary supplements, herbal extracts, tinctures, functional beverages, or similar products.
• Strong understanding of formulation principles for water- and glycerin-based liquid products.
• Experience with botanical extraction methods.
• Practical knowledge of cGMP requirements for dietary supplement manufacturing.
• Ability to solve formulation and manufacturing challenges independently.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a dietary supplement manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of FDA dietary supplement regulations (21 CFR Part 111).
• Experience with stability studies and ingredient compatibility.
• Familiarity with botanical ingredients, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, adaptogens, and other nutraceutical ingredients.
• Formal education in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field is welcome, but proven industry experience is our highest priority.

What We're Looking For

We are specifically looking for someone who has worked as a Food Technologist, Formulation Scientist, R&D Specialist, Product Development Scientist, or in a similar role within the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, or functional beverage industry.

The most important qualification is practical experience developing, improving, scaling, and manufacturing commercial liquid formulations. We value hands-on expertise and a proven track record more than academic credentials alone.

Compensation

Competitive compensation based on experience, qualifications, and the type of engagement (full-time, part-time, or consulting).

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
