This position requires the employee to be experienced with the manufacturing environment and the ability to perform; Welding, Quality Control, Forklift Operation, Safety (OSHA Standards), Shipping & Receiving, and Refurbishment. This position will be responsible for managing these areas but may also be required to perform these functions if necessary. Must be able to wear required PPE. This position will interact by phone and email with other Refurb Facilities, Customer Service, Accounting, Scheduling & Logistics, Management, and Company Customers.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager will assist the Facility Manager with the responsibilities listed below.
Ensure that company objectives are met with regards to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Create and monitor facility expenses, capital, manpower, and overtime budgets.
Minimize facility downtime.
Performing routine maintenance on facilities and equipment, making repairs as needed.
Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
Assist Manager Interview, Hire, & adjust staffing levels according to production demand.
Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
Monitor and evaluate employee training requirements.
Ensure clear communication paths between employees and management.
Manage Inventory projections and usage while controlling scrap and waste.
Provide support for customer concerns.
Ensure there is continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, & 5S activities.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
