Job Description
The MRI Program Director provides overall leadership, supervision, and administrative oversight for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Associate Degree program. The Director ensures that the program maintains compliance with all institutional, accreditor, and professional standards as established by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This role includes curriculum oversight, faculty supervision, clinical coordination, student advisement, and continuous program evaluation to promote quality education and positive student outcomes.
Job Duties
- Provide academic leadership for the MRI Associate Degree program, ensuring instructional quality and compliance with COE and ARRT standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate program curriculum, learning outcomes, and course syllabi to ensure relevance to current industry and professional standards.
- Ensure that all program materials, syllabi, and policies align with institutional policies and accreditor requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate MRI program faculty and clinical instructors.
- Coordinate clinical education experiences with affiliated clinical sites to ensure adequate supervision, quality of training, and compliance with ARRT requirements for clinical competency.
- Maintain communication with clinical site coordinators, ensuring students meet all site expectations and clinical objectives.
- Oversee student admissions, orientation, progression, and graduation processes for the MRI program.
- Conduct regular advisory board meetings with field professionals to ensure ongoing curriculum relevance and program improvement.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records including course schedules, student files, clinical evaluations, and program assessment reports.
- Participate in institutional meetings, accreditation activities, and program reviews as required by COE and ARRT.
- Lead continuous program evaluation and improvement efforts using data from student learning outcomes, retention, graduate satisfaction, and employer feedback.
- Ensure the program meets all state authorization, institutional, and accreditor reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor degree in Radiologic Sciences or a related field. A master degree is preferred.
- Current certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in MRI.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a teaching, supervisory, or educational administrative role in an accredited radiologic science or imaging program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
