Business Financial Professional (Government Procurement & Budget Execution)
Location: Fort Meade, MD (Onsite)
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI & Poly required
We are seeking a Business Financial Professional to directly support a government technical organization responsible for acquiring mission hardware, software, and technical services.
This position works side-by-side with engineers, technical leads, and government business financial managers to convert mission requirements into procurement actions while tracking funding execution throughout the fiscal year.
This position supports an active technical organization with limited time for on-the-job training. Candidates should already have experience executing procurement and funding activities within the DoD/IC financial management environment and be capable of contributing with minimal ramp-up.
The successful candidate should already be comfortable operating inside government financial management and procurement processes and require minimal training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support daily execution of government procurement activities for mission hardware, software, licenses, and technical services.
- Receive procurement requirements directly from technical teams and convert them into complete procurement packages.
- Prepare, review, and process purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate procurement actions with Government Business Financial Managers, contracting personnel, and technical organizations.
- Track procurement status from initial requirement through award and execution.
- Prepare and maintain daily funding execution reports.
- Monitor spend plans, funding availability, commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
- Reconcile funding documents against procurement actions and execution status.
- Assist with current-year budget execution and funding management.
- Process and coordinate MIPRs and other interagency funding actions.
- Research and resolve funding discrepancies and procurement issues.
- Coordinate directly with vendors, contracting organizations, and internal mission stakeholders as required.
- Maintain accurate procurement and financial records within government financial systems.
- Operate independently while supporting multiple concurrent procurement actions with competing priorities.
Desired Experience
Candidates should have direct experience supporting one or more government organizations performing financial management, procurement execution, or acquisition support.

Preferred Government Systems Experience
Experience using one or more of the following systems is strongly preferred:
- FACTS (Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System)
- CMIS
- EAO
- EDSS
- CCFMR
- SEACPS
- COGNOS
- CDW
- Government Purchase Card (GPC) processes
- Agency procurement and financial reporting tools
Candidates with direct experience preparing daily financial execution reports, monitoring spend plans, processing procurement requisitions, supporting hardware/software purchases, and working closely with Government Business Financial Managers are especially encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph.
- Experience supporting government procurement, acquisition, financial management, or budget execution activities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced mission environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Pay: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
