Duties / Responsibilities:
We are seeking a general laborer to join our production team. This position assists in the production of quality parts for various industries such as agriculture, transportation, and logistical solutions.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
· Will be trained on die swabbing, hot trim press, hot pad, including set-up and adjustment and be able to step in any of those positions as needed.
· Will be trained on the operation of induction units.
· Will know how to set up the hammer using correct procedure.
· Have basic knowledge of hammer and be able to perform the basic maintenance necessary to maintain safety, output and quality at all times.
· Must be able to follow directions for each set-up and operation of the hammer.
· Drive a hi-lo as needed.
· Must have working knowledge of various hand tools: wrenches, sockets, impact wrenches, etc.
· Must be able to work in a steel forging environment. Heat, noise, etc.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions: Must be highly proficient on all jobs of the Hammer Crew line and lead a crew to perform all jobs on the line if necessary; follows directions exactly; conscious of safety at all times; excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Education Requirements: High school diploma preferred but not required.
Experience Requirements: 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a steel forging setting but not required.
Skill Requirements: Working command of the English language, strong communication skills (both oral and written) for instructions, memos, etc. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools. Must be a forward thinker and a team player.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand 100% of the time, often 10 hours a day. Job involves twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, holding arms at should height for an extended period of time. Must be able to lift up to 50# approximately 30 times during the day. Must be able to lift 24# at least 40 times a day. Must be able to tolerate extreme heat in the summer months.
