Spiritual Directors International (SDI) is an inclusive, global learning community that advocates for and celebrates the service of spiritual companionship, also known as spiritual direction, spiritual accompaniment, and spiritual guidance. Our work supports, educates and connects spiritual companions, spiritual directors, life coaches, chaplains, health care workers, and many other practitioners, with spiritual explorers, providing a deep listening community where companions can find one another. We share and advocate for universal human values of love, compassion and respect, with about six thousand members on six continents.

SDI is looking to hire a Membership Services Assistant for our Membership Services team who will attend to and support the needs of our members and perform administrative tasks. The role requires organizational, communication, and problem solving skills, and the desire to offer great customer service. The ideal candidate will grow into the position by building the necessary skills, based on a solid foundation in customer service.

The position is designed for an Independent Contractor (up to 25 hours/week). In the aftermath of COVID19, we all continue to mostly work remotely, with extensive communications during the day, including daily mini-staff meetings and longer meetings every Tuesday.

GENERAL TASKS

· Send emails to members about how to join SDI webinars and courses

· Answer emails from members

· Answer phone calls from members

· Upload video recordings to Vimeo

· Calling members with surveys or member outreach

· Answer online chat requests via Tawk.to

SKILLS

· Strong customer service - gentle, patient touch assisting our members.

· Knowledgeable in providing support via phone and e-mail (looking for someone who enjoys helping people)

· Pays attention to detail, and is detail oriented, and focused on the task at hand.

· Deadline-oriented for completing weekly expected tasks
