First Commercial Bank (USA) is the wholly owned subsidiary of First Commercial Bank in Taipei, one of the premier commercial banks in Taiwan. First Commercial Bank (USA) has 8 branches in California. We are currently looking for a Business Development Officer for our City of Industry Branch.

SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, Business Development Officer is responsible for developing new deposit, loan and merchant business for the Bank. The position provides a superior level of customer relations and service and complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position, including Bank Secrecy Act., and is responsible for attaining established individual, department and Bank goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs.

DUTIES

• Participate and implement business development programs for Bank products using various techniques including calls to existing customers to maintain and expand banking relationships, and calls to prospective clients to develop new business; contribute toward Bank’s financial objectives and CRA goals.
• Provide superior customer service by answering inquires and directing customers to the proper department(s) for further bank services; gather marketing related data and report to Branch Manager in assisting the branch to design/revise marketing plans.
• Manage and assist other relationship managers in handling accounts as assigned and assist other bank personnel in loan- and deposit-related matters; provide management with reports or account information as required.
• Actively participate in various civic, social and community affairs to increase the Bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
• Accept other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: College degree with business classes is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of marketing experience with prior sales experience in commercial banking is highly desirable for the Business Development Officer position.

Skills/ Ability: Broad knowledge of Bank products and services is essential. Bilingual English/Chinese is highly desirable. Strong communication skills. Ability to call on customers and present the Bank’s products and services.
