Job Summary
Order Picker I is responsible for safely and accurately picking cases from inventory to meet specifications of customer orders and accurately entering data into the computerized inventory system. They will also assist with other basic duties in the Freezer area as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to read and follow pick sheets and pick products efficiently and accurately.
• Required to fill picking bins when emptying a bin.
• Accurately enter inventory movement into the computerized inventory system.
• Learn and be able to stack pallets appropriately.
• Learn and follow shipping guidelines and FIFO (First In First Out) as well as the dock loc and light systems.
• Operate various electric reach forklifts and pallets wrappers and learn how they operate. Shall be able to perform simple maintenance on forklifts as well.
• Responsible for assuring customers are getting quality product, which includes the packaging of the product.
• Mark all pallets for customers in a clear manner.
• Learn and utilize proper procedures for stocking product (dates, temperatures, rotation, etc.).
• Assist with keeping an organized work environment.
• Report any and all accidents, incidents, or concerns to the Supervisor immediately.
• Attend all team meetings and company meetings and be a contributing partner to the team.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to produce safe, quality and legal products.
• Normal work week hours is 40 hours per week, however it may be necessary to work overtime on a daily and/or weekly basis.

PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS

• Remove garbage from freezer/loading area as well as keep area clean.
• Assist freezer/loading dock as necessary.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS

• Must possess good problem solving skills.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Work in a team environment so must have ability to work well with own team and all members of Baker Boy.
• Ability to think safety and work safely at all times and follow all proper ergonomic and safety practices.
• Ability to follow all HACCP and GMP policies.
• Ability to read, speak and write the English language. Must be able to perform simple math problems.
• Bending, stooping, walking, reaching, grasping, carrying, repetitive motions and visual skills is required.
• Able to lift and transport cases of product weighing 25 pounds on a continuous basis and up to 52 pounds on a frequent basis.

Skills
- Experience as an Order Picker or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and reach trucks
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to perform heavy equipment operation for loading and unloading
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.27 per hour
