Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Leader Manager to oversee daily operations of our Grocery/ hardware store. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving sales performance to meet store goals. The Store Leader Manager is responsible for fostering a positive shopping environment and ensuring operational efficiency across all departments.

Duties

• Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
• Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to increase store revenue
• Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports, and analyze data for continuous improvement
• Manage POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
• Coordinate purchasing and vendor relations to ensure product availability and cost efficiency
• Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and team meetings
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Assist in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks

Requirements

• Proven management experience in retail or hardware store environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
• Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, inventory management, and POS systems
• Experience in merchandising, stock management, marketing, and sales management
• Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution
• Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform cashiering duties efficiently
• Organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and store presentation
• Knowledge of budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative procedures
• Demonstrated ability to manage shift schedules effectively and prioritize tasks under pressure
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred; training & development expertise is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills with professional phone etiquette and organizational abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,465.60 - $69,571.47 per year
