Job Summary:
The Breakfast Attendant’s main responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction while creating a restaurant environment in the breakfast area. Secondary to ensuring guest satisfaction, the Breakfast Attendant will stock and maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area and assist with the cleanliness of all other public areas of the property. As part of the WDA Management Company, this person promotes the vision of the owner “…to be the best in the market place.”
The Breakfast Attendant’s schedule will be based on providing consistent guest interaction in the breakfast area, typically 6am to 12pm. A Breakfast Attendant is classified as a part time hourly employee and may work up to 80 hours (normally 50 hours) in a two week pay period with weekend shifts.
Section A, Guest Service:
1) Meet score goals set for Guest Satisfaction Surveys and Positive Online Guest Reviews as follows:
2) Assist all guests with a smile in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile, and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction, while portraying a “Can-Do” attitude.
3) Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the property as to effectively assist guests.
4) Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the local area such as; area attractions, business hours of local establishments, accurate directions, etc. as to effectively assist guests.
5) Promote and Enroll guests into specific brand loyalty program Wyndham Rewards.
6) Professionally answer and transfer phone calls, utilizing the “3 ring rule”. Convert phone calls to reservations and take professional phone messages to include documenting and forwarding by email as needed.
7) Maintain the coffee counter for fresh coffee, supplies, and cleanliness as required by brand standards.
8) Set up and take down the guest breakfast at appropriate times corresponding with wake up calls and guest needs, in compliance with the specific brand standards as well as county and state health regulations, while ensuring the quality of the items served, the service provided, and the breakfast environment.
9) Assist with set up, take down, and maintaining evening guest reception amenities including soup and/or cookies to enhance the guest experience.
Section B, Quality Assurance:
1) Maintain service, cleanliness and quality of specific brand breakfast program requirements.
2) Assist as needed with the cleaning and stocking of; guest rooms, guest bathrooms, public areas, pub or bar, and meeting rooms in compliance with Quality Assurance specific brand standards including completing of weekly cleaning tasks.
3) Assist with required snow and ice removal of the parking lot and all walkways as needed. (The parking lot is plowed following 1” of snow cover.)
4) Assist with maintaining the general cleanliness, daily (upon your arrival and departure of the property) of the grounds including all parking lots.
Section C, Communication and Administration:
1) Assist in monitoring and responding to all guest surveys, online reviews, general guest correspondence, brand and internal emails in conjunction with the Management Team within WDA Management Company policies and specific brand requirements.
2) Utilize daily, the WDA Management Company Shift Checklist and Weekly Tasks Sheets to complete all required daily, weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
3) Monitor, maintain, and secure all breakfast area and property keys.
4) Assist in ordering breakfast supplies and other inventories including cleaning supplies in conjunction with the Management Team.
5) Adhere to company and brand personal appearance/uniform policy and standards.
6) Assist with compliance to ALL local and state personal safety procedures including the AWAIR ( orkplace ccident and njury eduction) Plan.
7) Assist with compliance to ALL local and state food safety and health codes regarding cleanliness and food handling in the breakfast/kitchen area to ensure the safety and quality of food items served.
8) Assist with compliance to ALL local and state regulations regarding the operations and employee training of the service of alcoholic beverages at property specific pubs, bars, or other establishments.
9) Inform the Management Team promptly of all problems of unusual matters or significance so that timely corrective action can be taken to include notifying the General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Owner (in that order) if any emergency personnel or law enforcement has been called to the property.
10) Perform all other tasks and functions as determined by the Management Team.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
