RANDERCOM is a growing telecommunications and low-voltage technology company serving businesses throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. We specialize in business phone systems, overhead paging systems, structured cabling, surveillance cameras, access control, and network infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced technician who understands business communications systems and enjoys helping customers solve phone, paging, and connectivity challenges.

Position Summary

The primary focus of this position is installing, programming, troubleshooting, and supporting business phone systems and overhead paging systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VoIP platforms, SIP-based phone systems, paging equipment, and telecommunications infrastructure.

This role also includes structured cabling and related low-voltage work, but experience with phone and paging systems is the most important qualification.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain business phone systems.
• Support on-premise VoIP platforms, SIP trunking services, and hosted cloud phone systems.
• Diagnose and resolve telephone, voicemail, network, and connectivity issues.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot overhead paging systems, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, and associated equipment.
• Complete system upgrades, adds, moves, and changes for telecommunications and paging customers.
• Meet with customers to identify communication needs and recommend solutions.
• Prepare customer quotes and project estimates.
• Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling as needed to support telecommunications installations.
• Install racks, patch panels, phones, paging equipment, and related hardware.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Experience installing and supporting business phone systems.
• Experience with overhead paging systems.
• Experience with VoIP, SIP trunking, and hosted cloud phone platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for telecommunications and networking issues.
• Ability to work directly with customers and communicate professionally.
• Experience pulling and terminating CAT5e, CAT6, and other low-voltage cabling.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with commercial paging systems, amplifiers, speakers, and telecommunications infrastructure
• SIP trunking and hosted VoIP platforms
• Network switching and basic routing
• Structured cabling certification or extensive field experience
• Access control and surveillance systems
