We are currently seeking a full-time Yard Hostler to join our evening shift team. This role offers a starting wage of $32 per hour, along with opportunities for overtime. Please note that scheduling may vary depending on customer demands, so flexibility is essential.

As a growing local trucking company, we offer a fast-moving, hands-on work environment. This position requires adaptability, as daily responsibilities and hours can shift based on operational needs. While the work can be demanding, it is also engaging and offers variety throughout each shift.

We’re looking for someone with strong driving and backing abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. This role involves frequent interaction with drivers and warehouse staff, both face-to-face and over the radio.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to safely maneuver and back trucks within a tight yard setting, while staying alert to surrounding pedestrians, equipment, and vehicles
• Professional, approachable attitude with strong customer service and communication skills
• Clear and fluent English communication skills, both verbal and via radio
• Ability to effectively convey instructions and information in a straightforward manner
• Physical capability to repeatedly enter and exit the truck, operate swing doors, crank landing gear, and connect/disconnect air lines and electrical cords
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain and cold temperatures
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple trailers and trucks
• Ability to absorb information from different sources and accurately maintain daily records

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
