What You'll Do

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide comprehensive outpatient care while building long-term relationships with your patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform annual wellness visits, preventive care, and comprehensive physical examinations
• Manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, thyroid disorders, asthma, hyperlipidemia, anxiety, depression, and other common primary care conditions
• Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medicine
• Perform office procedures appropriate to your training
• Coordinate care with specialists when appropriate
• Educate patients on medications, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation

Qualifications-Required

• Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
• Active (or eligible) New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license
• Current AANP or ANCC certification
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)

Preferred

• Primary care experience
• Experience performing outpatient procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records

• Monday through Friday- 0800-1630
• Daytime clinic hours
• No evenings
• No weekends
• No holidays
• No on-call responsibilities
