Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer. This position will be located at our Davenport, IA facility. Relocation benefits will be provided within the United States only.
The Davenport facility has approximately 900 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace life support and safety systems components and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

• Develop and integrate software on embedded C and C++ products following established software development standards and processes.
• Support the design and development of embedded software solutions for electromechanical systems.
• Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, test environment, and certification support.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in software engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of ten (10) years Software Engineering with full lifecycle experience.
• Experience with C, C++, C# or Python.
• Experience in DO178 compliance.
• Knowledgeable in embedded and multi-threaded environment development.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or as a part of a team.
• Able to work harmoniously within a team environment.
• Strong requirements development experience.
• Understands Requirements based testing development.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Understand the importance of following procedures currently in place.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities in a rapidly changing environment a plus.
• Creativity, initiative, and self-starter desired.
• Strong communication skills with emphasis on technical writing and presentation.
• Leadership skills with strong customer presence.
