Sales Technician — Restaurant Refrigeration Gaskets (Manhattan)
Gasket Guy of Manhattan · Manhattan territory · M–F daytime
Built for people who are built different
Manhattan has over 25,000 restaurants. Every single one of them has refrigerators. Every refrigerator has gaskets. And most of those gaskets are failing, costing restaurant owners money, and putting them at risk of a health code violation they don't even know is coming.
That's your opportunity. Every block, every kitchen, every day.
We're looking for someone who walks into a room and sees possibility where others see a closed door. Someone who builds trust fast, works hard without being told to, and is hungry enough to turn a Manhattan territory into a six-figure income. If that's you — keep reading.
Compensation — built for people who perform
We designed this structure deliberately. The floor protects you. The ceiling doesn't exist.
Average reps here earn six figures. Elite performers go higher. No ceiling.
What actually makes someone great here
We've hired enough people to know exactly what separates the ones who thrive from the ones who don't. It comes down to three things that can't be faked:
Grit. The best reps in this business don't need perfect conditions to perform. They don't need a warm lead list or a manager breathing down their neck. They show up, they push through the slow moments, and they find a way to make something happen every single day. If you're someone who gets sharper when things get hard, not softer, you'll fit right in.
Hustle. You manage your day here. You own your territory, your pipeline, and your paycheck. The reps who earn the most aren't the most polished or the most experienced, they're the ones who outwork everyone else and refuse to coast. Your income is a direct reflection of your effort. That's not a risk, it's an opportunity.
The ability to build real relationships. Manhattan restaurant owners are busy, skeptical, and intensely loyal once you earn their loyalty. The reps who last in this business don't just close deals. They know the owner's name, remember what they talked about last time, and show up when they say they will. If you can turn a cold first conversation into a relationship that pays you for years, you'll do very well here.
What you'll actually do
This is a hybrid sales and hands-on installation role. You prospect, pitch, close, and often install within a few days. Your territory is Manhattan. Your clients are commercial kitchens, including restaurants, delis, hotels, hospitals, schools, catering operations, and food trucks.
Every day you walk into commercial kitchens and spot what others walk past: worn gaskets, damaged strip curtains, broken hinges, scored cutting boards, failing refrigeration doors. These are health code violations waiting to happen, and every one of them costs the owner money they don't need to spend. Once you know what to look for, you'll see opportunities on every block.
The process is simple. You spot the issue, pitch on the spot, and close fast. Our app-based ordering system handles the rest, parts are sourced and delivered within days. You go back, install, and move on to the next job. Short cycle, quick commission, repeat.
Day to day:
Who succeeds here — and who doesn't
We'd rather be honest upfront than waste each other's time.
