Our growing construction company is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This key leadership role oversees the complete lifecycle of heavy civil and site construction projects—from estimating and bid preparation through project execution and closeout.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional who can successfully balance accurate cost estimating, strategic project planning, and day-to-day project management while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, estimating, execution, financial performance, and closeout for heavy civil and site construction projects. This role requires expertise in construction estimating, project controls, cost management, scheduling, contract administration, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in B2W software and capable of developing accurate bids, managing project budgets, tracking production, coordinating field operations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

- Heavy civil, site development, excavation, utility, and infrastructure construction practices
- Cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and job costing
- Project scheduling, planning, and resource allocation
- Contract management, change order administration, and risk mitigation
- Subcontractor and vendor procurement, negotiation, and management
- Production tracking and performance analysis utilizing B2W software
- Financial reporting, Work in Progress (WIP) management, and project profitability oversight
- Client relationship management and stakeholder communication
- Team leadership, field coordination, and cross-functional collaboration
- Quality control, safety compliance, and project closeout management
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and proactive issue resolution
This position requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can successfully transition between estimating, project management, and field operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, site development, excavation, utilities, roadway construction, or related infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 3+ years of combined experience in construction estimating and project management.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing estimates, budgets, schedules, and project financials for civil construction projects.
- Proven experience utilizing B2W Estimate and B2W Track for estimating, job costing, production tracking, and project management.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, equipment resources, and field personnel.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, specifications, bidding procedures, change orders, and project closeout processes.
- Experience reviewing construction plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and developing competitive bid proposals.
- Knowledge of project cost controls, forecasting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and profitability analysis.
- Experience working collaboratively with operations, accounting, and executive leadership teams.
- OSHA safety knowledge and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Management, or a related field preferred, but not requrired.
- Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant construction experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in B2W software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management platforms required.
- Experience with Trimble Vista or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other industry-recognized credentials are a plus.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
