Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Processor to join our dynamic team in the field of airborne geophysical exploration. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day activities of our survey operations, ensuring that geophysical equipment is installed and maintained properly on the aircraft, field data is collected and processed timeously and survey progress is communicated regularly to the client. This position requires a strong work ethic, familiarty and experience working with computers, ability to travel extensively and work off hours, and the ability to learn new skills quickly. The Field Processor will work closely in person with other colleagues who are part of the survey crew, as well as remotely with colleagues located outside of the US.

Responsibilities

• Installation of geophysical equipment in aircraft
• Pre-survey equipment preparation
• Maintenance of geophysical equipment
• Inventory and stock control of equipment
• Ensuring that sufficient level of spares is available at all time
• Client liaison
• Field collection of geophysical data
• Field processing of geophysical data
• Field management of airborne projects
• Assistance with field logistics
• Reconciliation and managing of field expenses
• Field reports to head office and client
• Weekly safety minutes and meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Experience

• Strong computer skills and past experience learning and mastering new software preferred.
• Preferred candidate will have strong analytical skills, organizational skills and experience(s) with successful on-the-job learning.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools for data processing.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Valid US driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Physical requirements include regular driving, lifting equipment +/- 50 lbs and installing, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment. Company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations whenever possible.
• Must be willing to travel away from home for up to 9 months/year, with brief breaks during that period. All travel will be domestic. Field allowance will be provided on top of base salary.
