Job Description:
As an Survey Instrument Operator you will play a vital role in our survey crew, ensuring that accurate measurements and data collection are conducted with precision. You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment using cutting-edge equipment and technology to support our land surveying projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and operation of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Assist in setting up appropriate safety signs and cones
• Set up electronic equipment and use data collectors for the location of objects and lines
• Ensure Truck is fully equipped, organized and batteries are charged for equipment
• Perform field surveys and measurements, collecting accurate data for land surveying projects.
• Collaborate with the survey crew and project managers to ensure the success of each project.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments, as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Motivated and reliable individual.
• Previous experience as an instrument person in land surveying is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver License
• Willing to obtain OSHA 10 hour and Hazwoper 40 hour safety cert (company provided)
• Wear proper safety clothing
• Ability to work and carry heavy objects in extreme weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of surveying equipment and math
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy,
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
