Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload freight manually or with forklift assistance, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Transport automobile transportation equipment and dangerous goods with meticulous attention to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for trailer refrigeration functionality or tanker integrity as needed.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any operational issues that arise during transit.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRUCK
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within the logistics industry.
• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or flatbed as applicable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
• Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and utilizing GPS navigation systems for route management.
• Experience handling freight such as refrigerated cargo, dangerous goods, or automobile transportation equipment.
• Ability to manually handle heavy cargo using forklift or other equipment when necessary.
• Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols related to freight handling.

Pay: $5,614.03 - $6,236.88 per week
