Job Summary-:
Any intern or co-op working at a GD-OTS location.
Responsibilities-:
Essential Functions:

Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.

Assists with technical tasks and project support.
-
Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
-
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.

Learns technical processes and procedures.
-
Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
-
May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.

Handles basic issues and problems
Qualifications-:
Required Qualifications:
-
Required education and experience: Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation; No prior experience needed.

Must be enrolled in a technical college or degree-seeking program.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.

May need to stand for long periods of time.

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Pay Range (USD): Min $22.55/hr - Max $26.95/hr Pay Transparency Statement: The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Benefits: Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
